Vision
A nation where every family comes alive together on public land.
Mission
To get families onto public lands where they come alive, find each other, and keep going back.
Our Early Impact
Who Camps With Us?
Communities of color are three times more likely to live in nature-deprived areas, and non-Hispanic whites make up 88-95% of public land visitors despite being 63% of the population. We create experiences where the families most disconnected from nature feel seen, celebrated, and supported.
Our families represent the full spectrum of the BIPOC community: Black/African American, Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino, Asian/Asian American, Middle Eastern/North African, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and Mixed BIPOC families, all united in creating space for those who've been told the outdoors isn't for them. We also welcome all families who share our values and commitment to equity.

Geographic Focus
Headquartered in Oakland, California, we currently operate throughout California, partnering with public land agencies and community organizations. While developing our model in California's diverse outdoor spaces, we're laying the groundwork for national expansion.

Loneliness is an epidemic. Doctors are prescribing time in parks. Families are hungry for something real. The culture is arriving at our doorstep, and we're ready.
We begin with supported camping trips that dismantle the barriers keeping families out: reservation systems built for insiders, cultural narratives about who belongs in nature, and the gap between wanting to go and knowing how. Each trip creates 10-20 new camping families who come alive outdoors.
Families who've been told the outdoors isn't for them join our community to stay connected, share experiences, and access tools. They find camping buddies, get personalized guidance, and inspire each other.
Confident families become leaders, organizing their own trips and inviting friends. Each member brings 3-5 new families into the outdoors, creating exponential growth.
Local chapters emerge organically. Our digital platform connects communities nationwide, creating a powerful voice for inclusive access to public lands.
