Outdoorithm Group Camping Trip

Sweetwood Campground / Half Moon Bay State Beach

May 25-27, 2024

Welcome to our group camping trip to Sweetwood Camp!

Sweetwood is the group campsite at Half Moon Bay State Beach, a hidden gem nestled along the Northern California coast just an hour from San Francisco. The area is renowned for its breathtaking ocean views and tranquil surroundings. Sweetwood Camp itself is a spacious group site with beautiful cypress trees, great walking and biking paths, and coastal trails that allow you to immerse yourself in nature. The site is perched over the ocean, with beach access just a short walk away.

Please note this will be a more rustic camping experience with limited amenities (i.e. pit toilets and water spigot). It’ll be worth it, though - you’ll get to experience open spaces, beautiful views, and sleep right next to the soothing sound of the ocean. 🌊

If you’re looking to round out your trip, Sweetwood Camp is located right next to the city of Half Moon Bay. Explore its quaint downtown, enjoy its restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops, or take advantage of the convenience of nearby grocery stores and shops. We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots!

Late May at Half Moon Bay is usually pleasant and mild, with temperatures in the low 60s 🌤️, so it should be great camping weather. All in all, Sweetwood Camp offers a peaceful retreat that also provides ample opportunities for day trips and excursions. Join us for a weekend relaxing by the sea, walking the trails, and spending time in community!
